Lacy Miles Honored by American Bankers Association with Emerging Leader Award

Lacy Miles, Executive Vice President, Treasury Management and Cashier with Community State Bank was honored by the American Bankers Association as a recipient of the 2024 ABA Emerging Leaders Award. This award recognizes the next generation of bank leaders who are committed to the highest standards of achievement and service to both their industry and local communities. Miles was honored at the ABA Annual Convention on October 27-29, 2024, in New York. The winners were selected by a diverse steering committee of industry professionals after a review of nominations from banks across the country.
Miles began her career at Community State Bank as a teller in 2010 and since then has grown with the organization, working in multiple areas of the bank. Today, she manages the Treasury Management and Operations departments as Executive Vice President and Cashier. In 2022, Miles was appointed to the Community State Bank senior leadership team. Additionally, she is co-chair of the bank’s Leadership Experience And Development Committee (LEAD), while serving on the Momentum Employee Engagement and Business Development Committees.
Miles is a 2023 graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (LEAD DSM). She was honored by the Des Moines Business Record as a 2023 Forty Under 40 and was recognized nationally as a 2023 40 Under 40 by the Independent Community Bankers of America. Miles is a 2018 graduate of the Iowa Bankers Association’s Leadership Institute.
She has dedicated much time and talent to the Central Iowa community. She has volunteered and lead in more than a dozen local and state organizations, nonprofits, and philanthropies. Most recently, Miles joined the board for Easterseals Iowa, is Co-Chair of the Executive Committee for Iowa Women Lead Change Metro Women Connect and is the past President of Bleeding Disorders of the Heartland.
