Community State Bank (CSB) has appointed Suzanna de Baca to its board of directors.
Ms. de Baca is president and group publisher of Business Publications Corporation (BPC), an Iowa-based media company that serves the business, cultural and philanthropic communities. Her background is in C-suite and senior leadership in the finance, healthcare and nonprofit sectors.
A Latina, Ms. de Baca has been a passionate supporter of diversity in the workplace. A long-time advocate for financial literacy, health, advancement of women and the LGBTQ community in business and in the community, she is recognized as an inspiring business and board leader.
Ms. de Baca graduated with distinction from Iowa State University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School (HBS). She has served on the ISU College of Design Advisory Board, the ISU College of Business Advisory Board and is a member of the ISU Order of the Knoll. She serves on the Executive Board of the Harvard Club of Iowa, the HBS fundraising committee and is active in the Harvard University Latino Alumni Association. She is a board member of the International Vipassana Community Foundation, Delta Dental Foundation of Iowa and is chair of the Proteus, Inc., Iowa Advisory Board.
